Lynette Howells-Moore
Media or specialism: Fine Art Painter
Statement: In the constant interplay of energies inherent in the process of absorption, a number of diverse techniques and instruments form the structure through which my creativity is expressed in the act of painting and drawing.
Background: Born in Melbourne, Australia, and originally educated in Australia, Lynette’s art training is wide ranging, including study, teaching and residential development in London, Italy, Norway, India and California.
Her work encompasses a wide variety of mediums, from watercolour, pastels and coloured pencils to the ancient traditional techniques of Egg Tempera Painting and Gilding, and Oil Painting as practiced by the Renaissance Masters. In relation to these techniques she has written a book and a number of articles for “The Artist” magazine, as well as uniquely designing and producing “The Tempera Box” – a miniature chest of drawers containing all the equipment and materials required for Egg Tempera Painting and Gilding. As well as this, she has prepared illustrations
and covers for several books.
She has works in Private Collections worldwide, and has exhibited regularly in London and the North West (since moving from London to Chester fifteen years ago), for over thirty five years.
