Drawing from the figure is a necessary discipline for all artists especially figurative artists, so my portraits and paintings are an extension of this.
Most of my paintings are initially executed in one sitting, of up to four hours from the model, and then they can be worked on again later. By working quickly I hope to keep my work fresh.
Although most of my subject matter is figurative, I have painted most subjects including landscapes, animals, and flowers.
I love colour and have drawn and painted in most mediums- oils, watercolour, acrylics, pastels, crayon, conté, charcoal.
