Tony is a landscape artist whose style is observational though frequently breaking into semi-abstraction in order to capture nature at its atmospheric best.


Inspiration flows from places he visits. India, for example, not only provided fascinating architecture, but also unusual flora, and the beauty of its people reignited his love of figure painting. The often-visited Scottish Highlands inspires larger canvases with its rugged mountains, its lochs and its ever-changing moods.


Following his retirement as a headteacher Tony used his creative energies working with ‘Visual Arts Cheshire’ and ‘Weaver Vale Art Society’.
