Sue Malkin
A painter with a strong interest in figure and interpretation of moving forms, Sue's main subject-matter over recent years has centred around horses. The racecourse, dressage and cross-country events are where she executes rapid sketches, which together with photography are developed into larger scale paintings in oil and works on paper.
Sue originally studied Fine Art at Leeds University, and after a teaching career pursued her own practice in the France and the North-East of England before moving to Chester.
